Researching SDLC and technology challenges of multiplayer game architectures

Hi there,

I AM NOT SELLING ANYTHING

I work for Red Hat and am starting to do research into the unique challenges of multiplayer gaming. More specifically, I'm trying to understand common development and design patterns / game architectures and how game companies are implementing their software development lifecycles, etc.

In understanding the unique challenges of various multiplayer game types (MMO vs FPS vs etc) I can help influence Red Hat's various products and solutions to be better suited to support the gaming industry.

If you work on the design / architecture side of the house or have been close to the implementation details of multiplayer games, I would sincerely appreciate the chance to have a conversation with you. I will not turn any contact information over to sales, and am also willing to keep specific details private as needed. I will sign NDAs as required.

Again, I'm not trying to sell anything. This is purely a research exercise.
