Noesis Technologies announced the latest release of its NoesisGUI solution, version 3.0, adding performance enhancements and new tools.

Game developers have been clamoring for a leading UI solution to be used within their proprietary games engine, Unreal or Unity that would enable artists to create advanced user interfaces. Developers and artists are able now to rapidly extend the signature look of their game into the UI, creating a more compelling and absorbing user experience.

NoesisGUI is a multiplatform native C++ library built on hardware accelerated vector graphics technology. The company promises, 3.0 upgrade offers a 2-5x performance increase over previous version, while reducing the memory usage nearly by 30%.

“As the studio grows, so do our complexities in development. It was important that we put in place a UI middleware solution that could cope with all demands that Baldur’s Gate 3 required.

From a technical standpoint it is very easy to use Noesis, not requiring a custom IDE which allows us more time to work on games. It plugs directly into the code and is highly modifiable. All this makes for a very powerful tool. It is also easy to make your own custom controls in cpp which we can then use in XAML without disruption. It offers a good split of data logic and front-end which speeds up production and iterations.”

Artem Titov, Lead Gameplay Programmer at Larian Studios.

Implemented across all major platforms, including latest gaming platforms Xbox, PS4, Switch along with Stadia and to be seen in some of the most expected games of 2020, such as Baldur’s Gate 3. NoesisGUI enables developers to use now, not only Blend for Visual Studio editor but also Adobe After Effects tools to create advanced user interface elements like hardware-accelerated 3D game menus, HUDs, and stunning animations.

“The MVVM pattern that Noesis uses is extremely flexible. It allows us to build large and complex interfaces that are easy to maintain.” - Joren Bolhuis, Engine and Gameplay programmer, Triumph Studios.

"After almost half a decade shipping the leading UI solution across hundreds of games, our focus with version 3.0 was to create a new core architecture and rendering system that addresses the need for a multi-threaded GPU accelerated UI engine on all platforms, from PCs to consoles to mobiles, and the tools that artists need to create impressive UI elements for their games. We're thrilled to get the new SDK into the hands of developers and let the product speak for itself." says Noesis Technologies cofounder and CTO Jesus de Santos.

"We’ve been looking for a new UI solution that’s powerful, flexible and suitable for complex, multiplatform titles. I’m more than happy to say that we have found this in NoesisGUI. It’s slotted into our development process with ease, has tools our artists appreciate and performance our programmers love.” – Steve Lycett, Senior Executive Producer, Sumo Digital Ltd.

NoesisGUI 3.0 gives a great response to the UI needs of game developers to continue delivering successful games. Learn more at https://www.noesisengine.com/
